surfing

Posted by greglarson in Friends, Los Angeles at 5:59 am | Permanent Link

So, I finally got around to surfing in the Pacific. It was unbelievably cold, and unbelievably fun. However, not sure you could call what I was doing — surfing. I laid on top of the surfboard a lot and got crushed by a couple of waves. However, I am crazy enough to go back out […]

A good friend of mine in MN — Josh, sent this over to me. I was challenged & blessed by Francis Chan’s words… “say whatever I tell you to say…”

Posted by greglarson in Friends, Los Angeles, Ministry / church related at 4:54 pm | Permanent Link

So, I got to fly to western Montana this past weekend to officiate a wedding for a Kairos couple — Amber and AJ. For whatever reason they really wanted me to do the ceremony, so they flew me out there.
Only been to Montana one other time — years and years ago, and […]

back on-line

Sorry, I have been away — it has been extremely frustrating with my laptop lately. It seems that my 3 year old Compaq presario’s screen is dying, and so am borrowing an external screen to get by…. I was told that the problem might be “either a faulty connection between the inverter and the fluorescent […]

You are driving down Hollywood Blvd in December & you see this….

He is a great guy, who likes thick Lebanese coffee, and loves talking and interacting about many things, foreign policy being […]

Don’t usually do this (matter of fact - have never done this), but a couple of friends back in Minnesota are selling their places, and have sent me emails in the past week or two trying to get the word out, so I thought I would pass the word.
One is in Little Canada (on the […]

Madeleine L’Engle in Glimpses of Grace

Posted by greglarson in Books, Friends, news at 2:48 pm | Permanent Link

Madeleine L’Engle is (was) an amazing author.

If you have a chance - take a minute to read something she wrote. Sadly, she passed away recently. Here is one of my favorite L’Engle quotes: “Why does anybody tell a story?” Ms. L’Engle once asked, even though she knew the answer. “It does indeed have something […]

daily journeys

…met my good friend Jernard today.

Great guy (in spite of his mean look here), loves Jesus and is keeping the faith in spite of huge health issues going on in his family, and it seems like some big doors are opening up for him out here in Hollywood. Keep him in your prayers if you […]

Not sure if you have been following the news in Burma (Myanmar) of late, but terrible things are going on. Tens of thousands were marching in the streets for freedom, and it was violently crushed.
HERE is a link regarding it.
