L.A. life…

So, my German friend Alex sends me this link of the ‘homicide map’ of L.A. It is really sad, and stunning - how many homicides this city has a year (almost 700 already this year).

Then, Michelle & I drove to the Valley today (I really do not like driving up there, 1 - because of the traffic & 2 - it is like this Huge, endless suburb), as I had to get my computer fix’d - from an ‘authorized’ Compaq dealer (I really should migrate to a Mac!).
And since it is fire season in southern Cal, you can see the smoke for miles & miles. The Santa Ana winds we experienced driving today - had to be 50 mph. I can see why some of these fires are semi-out of control.

Finally, get my computer fixed & I ask the guy — “so what goes on in Chatsworth — I have never been here before?” (it seemed like a sleepy ‘normal’ suburb, & the guy says to me — “well, just about a block away is where they film most of the ‘24′ episodes” (one of the best shows on tv I might add)

And “oh yeah” he says “it is the unofficial ‘capital’ of the American pornography trade”.

Only in LA…

How depressing. I filtered down to the murder kids list 0-9.
