…you can negotiate the price of new shoes.

The saying goes around the Larson household, that dad never buys shoes. Well, it is not that I never buy shoes, just that I believe in taking such good care of my shoes — that they don’t wear out very fast.

Anyway, I was finally needing some shoes & so I went to see Eddie.

Eddie has this little hole-in-the-wall shoe store real close to our house. You know its LA when you start to walk out of the store & Eddie waves you back in and says ‘lets make a deal’. You then can start to bargain with him, until you agree on a price.

I think I learned this from my dad — he loves haggling with people over how much he wants to spend on things.

I love this city.
