So, I am back in Minnesota for a # of days talking with some people about the ministry in LA. When I left — it was probably about 70 degrees, warm, pleasant — overall wonderful (if you can get beyond the smog, traffic, congestion, crime, graffiti, etc.)
So the family and I stopped decided to stop by this fruit stand on Sunset Blvd (with palm trees in the background) for lunch before I left. You can get this big plastic bag of fresh cut fruit for about $4, with a plastic fork stuck in the middle of it — no less. There are these ‘fruit stands’ all over LA / Hollywood. I am not 100% sure about how often they get inspected from the city Health Dept, but we take our chances ![]()

Then I land in MN this last weekend & it gets dumped on with about 12″ of snow. As a friend of mine Doug said, it was like ‘hell falling from the sky’ — could not say that better myself.
Anyway — now MN is a winter wonderland of snow…
