don’t be wishing…

I love this quote by Dallas Willard — “First we must accept the circumstances we constantly find ourselves in as the place of God’s kingdom and blessing. God has yet to bless anyone except where they actually are, and if we faithlessly discard situation after situation, moment after moment, as not being “right” we will simply have no place to receive his kingdom into our life. For those situations and moments are our life.” (The Divine Conspiracy, p. 348-9)
“And don’t be wishing you were someplace else or with someone else. Where you are right now is God’s place for you. Live and obey and love and believe right there. God, not your marital status (or your job, or your ministry, or your ________), defines your life. ” - 1 Cor. 7:17a (MSG)

Greg, nice Willard quote…
Sorry to have missed you when you were in Minneapolis. I’ve been down and out with the flu.
Keep writing your blog and posting pictures!

Dan — it blesses me to have someone else appreciate Willard so much also. Hey, I will be at Bethel tomorrow talking to someone at the seminary — will you be around? It would be fun to connect.
