leaving Minnesota

Well, Wednesday we packed up & yesterday left Minnesota for the big move to California.
It felt like we were just leaving to go on a little family vacation. It did not feel like we were leaving for good.
Not sure if you can see the little ‘welcome to Iowa’ sign or not (right next to Michelle’s foot)….
We got started way later than expected (afternoon instead of morning) — so we made it as far as Nebraska last night. I was getting really tired so pulled over at the 1st hotel/motel we found — which was not the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in…
(didn’t tell Michelle and the kids that when we walked into the room — saw a huge bug scurry across the floor) — oh well, slept good and saw a beautiful sunrise here this morning…
