the end of a dream

Well, my son Caleb and I have been waiting months for the World Cup, and just like that - in about a week and a half - the U.S. has bowed out and did not make it to the final 16 this year. I know, I know, I know — when the U.S. made it to the final 8 in 2002 — they probably were playing way over their heads - but, it did get our expectations up this year. We were in the ‘group of death’ though also. So, maybe they did not play as bad as it seems….
I guess there is always 2010 to look forward to
